Ancestor FB Intro
Ancestor healing can take many forms and can be initiated by people who are not even related to the individuals. In my own experience, Özcan and Chistiane, a wonderful couple began an inquiry on their own to discover who had lived in their apartment during the war. The people who had lived there were my ancestors!
An exhibit in Berlin, WE WERE NEIGHBORS, lists names and addresses of all Jews living in Berlin during the Holocaust. The listing included what happened to their Jewish neighbors to discover if they were deported, murdered or survived. It is a staggering place to visit.
Özcan and Chistiane took it upon themselves to locate my generation of survivors, once they knew who had lived in their apartment. Last December, 2019, before the world changed with the Corona Virus, I traveled to Germany to take part in the commemoration of memorial “Stumbling Stones” set into the pavement in front of the apartment building.
